Yellow fever is the one travel vaccine with a deadline attached. These are the three facts that decide whether your certificate works at the border.
An ICVP takes effect 10 days after vaccination. Book with time to spare — a certificate dated inside that window won't be accepted at the border.
Since 2016 a yellow fever certificate is valid for the life of the person vaccinated. One appointment, one dose, no boosters for most travellers.

Why yellow fever can't wait until the week you fly
Your certificate doesn't count until 10 days after the injection. If you're flying inside a fortnight, that clock is the single reason to book today rather than next week.
